Zune Pass getting cheaper, adding music videos

When the Xbox Dashboard was updated last year, a new version of the Zune media software came with it. Offering a subscription-based no-commercial music streaming alternative to Last.fm, the Zune Pass may have been hamstrung by the $15 monthly rate. If you're looking for a cheaper way to make use of Microsoft's massive music library at your whim, we might have some good news for you.
The Zune Insider blog was updated today with information on new subscription options and features for media junkies. Starting on Monday, the $15 a month unlimited music streaming option will be discontinued, to be replaced by a $10 option that removes the ability to keep 10 tracks permanently every month. Current subscribers utilizing the $15 option will be able to keep their service if they want to keep getting the downloads each month. The ability to sync your Zune library with multiple devices (as long as you subscribe) will continue to be available at the lower price.
Regardless of whether you subscribe at the old or new rate, the Zune Pass will include a new streaming option that will be available the same day as the new subscription rate. Users will be able to stream tens of thousands of music videos, which should make the Xbox 360 music-streaming experience a bit more dynamic.
Music fans -- what do you think of the updates coming to Zune? Will it change the way you listen to music on the Xbox 360?
