ZeniMax files trademark for Fus Ro Dah

ZeniMax, parent company of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim developer Bethesda, has filed six different trademarks related to the dragon shout Fus Ro Dah with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The trademarks, filed on April 4, cover use of Fus Ro Dah in video games, instructional material, clothing, bags, toys, and entertainment services.
ZeniMax's unusual move to trademark a specific part of a video game was probably prompted by Fus Ro Dah's popularity as an Internet meme late last year, in the months immediately surrounding Skyrim's release. Judging from the trademarks, it seems like ZeniMax might have plans to create a line of its own Fus Ro Dah merchandise.
