Xbox.com upgrade will add "Social" section, let gamers set Beacons early

Even though Xbox.com's "My Xbox" section has served for a fine way to monitor profiles off of the Xbox, the upcoming drastic redesign of the Xbox Dashboard is manifesting itself on the official Xbox website as well.
A post on the official Xbox blog details some of the changes that will be happening on Xbox.com in the coming days. The "My Xbox" section is being re-branded "Social," giving you new ways to interact with fellow Xbox Live users when away from the console. The upcoming update will bring the ability to set "Beacons," which allows users to mark the games they're most interested in playing, with an option to add context (time, place, mode) via comment. Besides the addition of Beacons the "Social" section will have a few design tweaks to put the most pertinent info in front of gamers. The main page includes a "Friends Activity" section that lists the most popular games amongst your pals, while visiting your own "Activity" section shows which of your friends have been playing the games you've been into lately. Dive into a particular game's page, and you can check out if any of your friends have set Beacons.
You can learn all of the ins and outs of Xbox.com's changes in the official post. Are any of you planning on enjoying a heaping helping of fresh Beacon?
