XBLA actioner DeadLight teases with zombie-fueled footage
Just announced as having signed a publishing agreement with Microsoft Studios, indie studio Tequila Works (based in Madrid, Spain) have unveiled the first footage of their upcoming XBLA actioner, DeadLight. In it, you'll spot all the usual trappings of what's shaping up to be a post-apocalypse zombie survival action game: grim, gritty voiceover by one of the unspecified, world-changing catastrophe's survivors; an empty-ish world highlighting a handful of undead shufflers roaming the ruins of a seemingly present-day environment; and…uh, side-scrolling platforming?
As the opening of the teaser footage comes to an end, we see the protagonist hop off a freeway sign like you would see Shadow Complex's Jason Fleming skip through one of that game's 2.5D settings. Early screens all point in a similar direction (see the gallery below), gameplay-wise.
Slated for a general "Summer 2012" release, is it too early to start speculating a 2012 Summer of Arcade inclusion? Hey, it worked for Shadow Complex back in 2009, right?
