THQ won’t have a booth at this year’s E3

Speaking with GamesIndustry, THQ revealed they would not have a booth at this year’s E3. The publisher will still be at the event to show off previously announced and new titles, though their capacity at E3 will be much more limited.
"We're not producing a booth, but we will be participating in E3. We will be showing games to the E3 judges at their event coming up, and we'll be hosting a press and business center at the show for meetings (as well as participating with first party activities)," said a THQ representative. The decision was made during the early stages of 2012 when THQ was in a bit of turmoil, but the company has seen a bit of a turnaround recently, and assured they “will be there to support our portfolio and the show itself."
With titles like Darksiders II and the just-announced Saints Row: The Third expansion due out later this year, along with (hopefully) new announcements on projects like Guillermo del Toro’s video game inSane, THQ will have plenty to show off. It’s a shame they won’t have a booth, but the financial burden clearly outweighed the benefits of such a decision.
