THQ pushes Metro: Last Light back to 2013

THQ has confirmed that 4A Games's Metro: Last Light, sequel to Metro 2033, will not ship in 2012. In a statement outlining its 2013 and 2014 release schedules, THQ announced that Metro: Last Light is now scheduled to ship in early 2013 alongside Valhalla Studios's Devil's Third. THQ also announced plans to release “two unannounced core titles” in fiscal 2013, which means the games would have to ship before the end of March 2013.
THQ has also laid out its planned release schedule for fiscal 2014, which runs from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014. Among the planned releases is an unnamed original title from Left 4 Dead collaborator Turtle Rock Studio, the Warhammer 40,000 MMO Dark Millennium Online from Vigil and Relic, inSANE from Volition and Guillermo del Toro, Homefront 2 from Crytek UK (formerly known as Free Radical Design), and the unnamed title currently being developed by Patrice Desilets and THQ Montreal.
In addition, THQ confirmed that it had four unannounced core games in development for release in fiscal 2014 “and beyond.” Earlier rumors of THQ canceling all of its 2014 titles are looking pretty conclusively disproven right now.
