Take-Two trademarks GTA TV and Rockstar TV

If recent trademark filings are any indication, then it appears Take-Two may be looking to enter the fan-created video market. According to our British spy counterparts over at OXM UK, Take-Two has recently filed trademarks on GTA TV and Rockstar TV. Though these filings may not appear to be anything incredibly special yet, the possibilities of what they could entail are pretty exciting.
With GTA V’s release coming within the next year (hopefully), and the recent success of services like Call of Duty Elite, there’s a chance that Take-Two and Rockstar could be creating their own video uploading and streaming service for fans. One of the features of Call of Duty Elite is the ability to create and upload videos of your highlights in multiplayer for all others to see. With the robust multiplayer that both GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption had, we can only imagine the amount of ridiculous kills and action sequences that many of you have participated in. Now just imagine being able to share those moments with fans across the world.
Though Take-Two and Rockstar haven’t commented yet on these trademark filings, we now potentially have one more thing to be really excited about when it comes to GTA V. We’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on further developments, and hope that we don’t have to wait long to hear about what Take-Two has in store.
