Resident Evil 6 demo exclusivity a “strategic business decision”

Just announced a few days ago, the Resident Evil 6 demo is already causing quite a stir. Due in July, along with copies of Dragon’s Dogma, the demo will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 for two months. PlayStation 3 owners who purchase Dragon’s Dogma will get access to the demo in September, but it’s still unclear when people who don’t buy Dragon’s Dogma at all will get their crack at Resident Evil 6’s demo.
Though Capcom is still mum on whether or not a regular demo will even be released, a spokesperson for the publisher has stated the timed exclusivity is a “strategic business decision.” Just what strategy Capcom is implementing is unclear, though the method to the madness may lie in Activision’s Call of Duty. According to David Turner, head of Capcom’s UK marketing, “The dream would be that the millions of Call of Duty fans that are enjoying these fast-paced online games are attracted to this Resident Evil.”
What do you think of Capcom's demo-delivery method? Will playing Resident Evil 6 early give it a leg up against the inevitable holiday shooter onslaught, or will you pass because it's packed in with an RPG?
