With the mysterious Final Fantasy XIII Versus likely absent from the upcoming Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary event, fans have been clamoring for more information on the FF XIII universe project that will be showcased during the convention's September 1 stage show. Andriasang has found new information about the game in the latest Famitsu, as FF XIII and FF XIII-2 producer Yoshinori Kitase revealed that the announcement will regard a project that has "recently started."
With development of FF XIII Versus stretching back to the announcement of FF XIII, there's very little reason to believe that game is the same one Kitase was referring to. Is it possible we'll see Final Fantasy XIII-3 in a few weeks?
