Earlier this year Stan Lee spoiled his cameo in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man video game, but until today, Activision and Marvel hadn’t confirmed the legendary comic creator’s role in any capacity. Exclusive to people who pre-order the game from Amazon will be a mission where players don the iconic mustache and glasses of Stan “The Man” Lee in an effort to “collect pages of his latest script in a spectacular race around Manhattan.” Video game Stan will borrow some powers from Spidey, and allow players to swing around the city in a nice blue blazer and some trousers.
Additionally, anyone who reserves the game at Gamestop will get an exclusive Rhino-themed game mode. The mode puts players in the hoofs of the bruising villaing, and “players will be able to unleash his formidable powers to destroy anything and everything that gets in his way in a timed event full of speed, combo streaks, and of course, a ton of things to break!” Not quite as impressive as playing as a man about to turn 90, but still an interesting way to give players a different perspective in the game.
