No new choices offered in Mass Effect 3 ending DLC

BioWare has confirmed that no new choices will be added by the upcoming Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC. Instead, the DLC changes the game's ending so that it highlights the consequences of decisions made by players throughout their Mass Effect journeys. If you've already beaten the game, BioWare advises that you instead load a save from just before the ending so you can see the content added by the Extended Cut.
The new content for the Extended Cut introduces “degrees of success” based on how a player has done in Mass Effect 3 and previous games. As a result, BioWare says, players should feel that their endings are now more individual and varied from player to player. Work on the Extended Cut DLC will delay the release of other planned Mass Effect 3 DLC, but BioWare says it still plans to complete everything initially slated for the game.
So while players who wanted a new ending or a completely different ending for Mass Effect 3 probably won't get full satisfaction from this DLC, players who wanted more of a feeling that their choices directly impacting the ending have every reason to look forward to the Extended Cut when it goes live this summer.
