New Medal of Honor to be unveiled at GDC

That a new Medal of Honor game is coming shouldn’t surprise very many people. The reports of a new entry in the series to follow-up the 2010 reboot have been making rounds for a while now. Signs like the insert in last year’s Battlefield 3, and retailers dishing on preview events were awful hard to miss. Fortunately, for those living in seclusion for the past six months, EA has sent out invites to an exclusive press-only preview event for a new Medal of Honor title. Kotaku couldn’t wait to share the news, and posted their invite, thus ending the waiting game fans had been playing with Danger Close and EA.
The event is scheduled for March 6, which would put it right in line with when GDC will be happening. CVG points out that next month PSM is promising a cover story for a “mystery shooter sequel.” Our sister site also reminded everyone that Danger Close was hiring for an “unannounced AAA first person shooter” as early as January 2011. Clearly, EA and Danger Close are on a mission to make sure this Medal of Honor announcement is not missed by anyone. Even though the last entry was met with mixed reviews, there has to be a few people out there excited by the prospect of more Tier 1 action. Are you one of them?
