New Alan Wake’s American Nightmare screens & video offer final frights
It may be just two weeks from release, and the de facto lynchpin of the Xbox's XBLA House Party, but we're still very much in the dark when it comes to Alan Wake's American Nightmare. Thankfully Remedy is remedying that by shedding light on the game via a two-hit combo. Above, we've got a developer diary explaining the genesis and execution of American Nightmare, while noting the cinematic differences between the Stephen King-meets-LOST original and the From Dusk 'Till Dawn-inspired sequel. In addition to the insight into the game, there seems to be some creepy business going on in the background. Just part of game development in Finland, we guess.
If you're hoping for more of Alan Wake, but don't feel like listening any more, check out this series of seven new American Nightmare screens, including two elements that should be common to many people's nightmares -- giant spiders and angry hulking creatures sprinting at you with table saws.
