Kojima knows his team "has to do" Metal Gear 5, will try to limit his own involvement

The Official PlayStation Magazine UK — our alternate-platform sister publication from across the pond -- has another chunk of its interview with legendary developer Hideo Kojima online today. While OPMUK didn't completely reneg Kojima's announcement of Metal Gear Solid 5, it did reveal that the status of the game is a bit more hazy than originally thought.
Realizing the amount of aniticipation the gaming public has to see the core Metal Gear Solid series continue, Kojima said of MGS5 "we’ll probably have to make it at some point, but what that will be, we have no idea." Kojima personally is hoping to have less of a central role in the game's production, saying "maybe I can do just one stage," but also acknowledged that he's made that plan before (partuclarly with MGS4), only to end up devoting far more work than originally anticipated.
The Christmas issue of OPMUK featuring Kojima's interview will be on sale in the UK on November 29. If more about MGS5 comes to pass when the issue hits, we'll pass along the info to you.
