Hey Sony and Nintendo, Microsoft boss Steve Ballmer says, “WAZZUUUUUUUUUUUP!”
OUTSOLD Its competitors by a margin of nearly two-to-one did the Xbox 360 in the crucial sales month of November. Microsoft’s Kinect-boosted console moved 1.7 million units in the U.S. alone, compared to approximately 900,000 PlayStation 3s and around 860,000 Wiis. That gap between the top-selling system and the number-two-seller for a month is the largest since December 2008, when the irresistible Nintendo DS bested its big Wii brother. This news is only bad for Xbox team executives, who are now no doubt expected to pick up the check anytime they go out for dinner or drinks with friends. “LOOKS LIKE THIS ROUND IS ON YOU, MR. XBOX GUY <hic>…”

Yeah, leave Xbox alone, YouTube!
AVAILABLE On Xbox 360 is, finally, the ubiquitous video streaming service YouTube. Yes, you can now watch clips of Xbox games on a device you could be using to actually play those very same games. Now that we think about it, though, YouTube is quickly becoming that annoying not-really-your-friend friend who gloms onto everything you’re doing with your real buddies. It’s on our computers, smartphones, TVs, and now game console. Leave Xbox alone!

“You’ve gotta ask yourself one question: when I pull the trigger, is the gun going to make a fart sound? Feel lucky, punk?”
HIRING For a massively multiplayer online project is Lionhead. The job listing seeks a “highly skilled” programmer, with the ideal candidate being “someone who enjoys playing MMO games and has significant experience with the workings of a massive online multiplayer environment.” Thus, it’s not hard to connect the dots — Microsoft owns Lionhead, Lionhead only makes Xbox games, and Lionhead only makes Fable games these days — and theorize that Peter Molyneux and Co. are readying a Fable MMORPG for the next-generation Xbox. Hmm, we suppose we’re ready to pay $14.99 per month to grind levels on our belching skill. That sounds fun…right?

“Mr. Crusher, lay in a course for 2013…ENGAGE!”
LAUNCHING In 2013, apparently, is the next-generation Xbox (a.k.a. Xbox 720/Xbox 3/Xbox Next/Xbox Loop). Tech website CNET follows a report by Develop Online, confirming their story with “a source on the Xbox team.” This would, apparently, finally put the recent fall 2012 rumors to rest, and also squish any whispers of a distant 2014 release too. A particular window in 2013 wasn’t specified, but we’d bet the farm on a fall 2013 launch. Whatever it is, we wish the rumor mill would just make up its mind. Without even being announced, the new Xbox has already had more dates than Ashton Kutcher after his divorce announcement.

So what kind of restrictions is xbox putting on youtube over XBL? I went to one of my subscriptions and it wouldn't show all of the content. It was Game Show Network's High Stakes Poker Season 7. I have an adult account and wonder why xbox feels it has to play big brother.
