Halo Anniversary soundtrack goes green (for vinyl release)

One of gaming's most famous soundtracks (even in its remixed form for the 2011 Anniversary redux, which is what this is) gets committed to vinyl for the first time, but it's for collectors only. Announced today, Sumthing Else Music Works are offering up a limited edition version of the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary soundtrack produced on green vinyl. Sure to make any good collector drool (colored vinyl and limited edition, you say?), the brand new recordings of the tracks featured in the recent Master Chief 10-year milestone redux includes 16 tracks (on two sides!). Tunes like "Random Slipspace Theory" and "Demons and Heretics" are listed among the various tracks.
The Limited Edition Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary soundtrack goes on sale December 20 at various game retailers. Even if the record won't play on your Xbox 360, don't fret, as the vinyl release includes an album download.
