DLC and avatar items for Epic Games's Gears of War 3 are on sale today. The biggest item in the sale is the Gears of War 3 season pass, which is marked down 25% to 1800 MS Points. The Season Pass basically lets a player pre-buy the four planned sets of Gears of War 3 DLC content and automatically download them once they become available. Two sets of Season Pass DLC, RAAM's Shadow and the Horde Command Pack, are already available. The next DLC release that's covered by the Season Pass will be Fenix Rising, due to come out on January 17.

The Gears of War 3 Skins Launch collection is also marked down 50% to 1800 MS Points. This DLC pack lets buyers use all of the launch weapon skins in multiplayer. For avatar items, an avatar replica of the in-game Boomshield is on sale for 50% off, or 160 MS Points. Possibly the most desirable item in the sale is the avatar version of the in-game Gold Lancer, which is marked down 50% to 160 MS Points. Due to the potential ban on guns and gun-like items for avatars, the Gold Lancer may no longer be sold at any price beginning on January 1.
