"beverage-based lifestyle" that's a classic! 5-Hour Energy is my weapon of choice, I KNOW it works, other "shots" have always made me leery they will leave me weary. Great reviews guys, thanks for the info!

Dan, theoretically, caffeine is supposed to take effect within 15 minutes, which means your adenosine levels (adenosine is the chemical that makes you sleepy) drop, your blood vessels constrict, and your body release adrenaline. Then, the caffeine is not supposed to wear off for about 6 hours. The results are similar to cocaine, except severely milder. So, the 5 Hour Energy shot delivers 2 cups of coffee's worth of caffeine into you body along with a huge niacin dose, the vitamins doing only what the body normally does, and the caffeine probing your skull for the next 5-ish hours. If you were to try 5 Hour Energy, any caffeine + B vitamin shot, and Jolt Gum, you would probably be able to identify the nasty flavor of caffeine. www.picnicface.com (Powerthirst 1 & 2)
