Gutsy heroes, dynamic quests, dragon shouts. Those anticipating The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim should be familiar with all these things, but back-of-the-box bullet points are about as reliable as a dull dagger in an enemy-infested dungeon. What counts is how it all gels. After several hours playing Bethesda’s RPG sequel, we can report that its epic promises are far from hollow.
