I understand that there is a majority and a minority opinion for every issue. I believe that I am totally in the minority with my lack of understanding about the love-fest that has been bestowed upon Braid. I do understand that it was a brilliantly done game. I don't dispute that at all. I played through it, and thought that it was one of the most innovative and well-crafted puzzle games in years. I just cannot quite reach that next level of love for it that so many seem to have. Game of the year consideration? In a year that saw so many major releases that topped your own rating system at a 9.0 or better? Soundtrack of the year? It was catchy and fit the game well. It was certainly (like the rest of the game) well constructed but again with the love-train that I can't catch! There must be something that I missed, because I didn't really get the ending which scares me, because so many people raved about it endlessly and I usually catch onto subtlety. Maybe it was just so obvious that I overlooked it? Maybe that's the beauty of it, its so obvious that it got overlooked.
