Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 review

Though Dragon Ball’s popularity isn’t currently as strong as Naruto or Bleach (what with the series having ended years ago), fans of this anime/manga series are still dedicated enough to buy increasingly niche games based on it. Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 does its best to cater to them, providing over 90 characters, tons of customization, and heaps of fan service. Even DB nuts who are only focused on single player have lots to dive into: there are literally hundreds of things to unlock in the campaign mode, and its story will only make sense to the devoted.
On the flip side, though, DB:RB2 disappointingly lacks any footage from the series. And though it handles fine, newbies definitely need the tutorial to stay competitive online. All in all, Raging Blast 2 aims low and hits the mark for lovers of Goku, Vegeta, and the rest, but those looking for a great fighter won’t have their wish granted this time.
On Xbox 360
+ Tons of fan service for those engrossed in the long-running anime/manga series.
+ Lots of content to discover and unlock.
- Brings very little new or unique to the table.
? Does the cast of Dragon Ball qualify as the most ripped set of animated characters ever?
