Double Dragon: Neon coming to XBLA on September 12

Retro remake Double Dragon: Neon launches on Xbox Live Arcade on September 12, for 800 MS Points ($10). Developed by WayForward Technologies, Double Dragon: Neon revamps the 1987 arcade classic Double Dragon with updated character designs, HD sprites, and new power-ups. The game will support two player co-op (or, as the game puts it, “bro-op”).
Although Double Dragon was one of many beat 'em up quarter-munchers you could play in arcades in the late 80s, the game earned a permanent place in gaming culture with its popular single-player 1988 NES port. At one point a HD port of the original Double Dragon published by Midway was available on XBLA, but this version is no longer available due to a change in IP ownership after Midway's 2009 bankruptcy.
