Dogs of the A.M.S. FTW!
I hate being a big enough self-satisfied tool to post something like this, but I figure now that Rock Band is out and we'll be surpassed in like ten minutes of it hitting street date -- I might as well make sure that OXM's house band, Dogs of the A.M.S., gets our two seconds of nerd fame.

Yay! We may actually be #1 for longer than five minutes. Maybe.
Once we were lucky enough to get our hands on early retail copies of the game, we formed Dogs of the A.M.S. so we could troll for Achievements and, basically, rebuild the band we formed for the review of Rock Band. I would like to say -- mission accomplished. Dan Amrich, me and Dave "Murph" Murphy (of Maximum PC-ness) took up arms to finish the Endless Setlist on Expert -- and we actually just did so on Sunday. No shenanigans. No early quitting out -- or as we like to call it: "Amrich'ing it up." If you don't get that reference, then you obviously need to watch this informative PSA on how NOT to play the Endless Setlist.
We're still working on building up our fanbase. We failed on only three songs in the long set: "I Get By" (Honest Bob & the Factory Dealer Incentives), "Seven" (VaGIANT) and "Green Grass & High Tides" (The Outlaws). I blame myself for the first and Dan for the last one. The middle one? Who knows. Maybe blame the tequila because VaGIANT's song deserves to never be failed…ever. It's one of the best songs in the game, really.

We tanked (because of my suspect skills) on Honest Bob's "I Get By"...but honestly, it's #56 of 58 songs. Cut us a little slack.
But those fans are finicky and we've been forever shamed by the monster band, South East B3AST, on the leaderboards. I mean, how do you get 25 million fans, after all? By earning them. And we're going to get there…slooooowly. But for now, we're happy with our spot on the Career points leaderboard and the individual song leaderboards. That is, until the rest of you totally spank us in the rankings, of course. Which you will. Believe me, you will. (Note: We are not awesome. We are just immodest, really.)

Shores of compassion, my ass. Take that, Coheed and Cambria! We like to call this ditty "The Restraining Order Song (For Threatening Grievous Bodily Harm to a Loved One)."
Nevertheless, we did it. We got our Platinum Status and we're ready to act like mercenaries and hire ourselves out to anyone ready to take on the Endless Setlist on Expert -- or to nab those 5 Gamerscore points for riding on the coattails of a Platinum Artist. Now, I'm going to learn drums so I can do those on Expert, too. It seems that the Rock Band world is in dire need of drummers. We could use one too because we have lots of friends who want to work their way up to the end boss of the 58-song set. Anyone up for it?

I wish I could get my hands on a copy of Rock Band, but being stuck in Germany and having a NTSC Xbox360, which currently has the red ring of death and cost me 50 dollars one way to ship to America to get fixed. I cant find anywhere in America to mail overseas and send me rock band. Come on I'm American why cant stores hook a fellow American Veteran up?
