Devil May Cry HD Collection gets a release date
With HD collections of classic games (see the upcoming Silent Hill HD Collection and the Editor's Choice-earning Metal Gear Solid HD Collection from late 2011) surfacing all over Xbox 360, Capcom's archives get plundered for three Devil May Cry games in one package: Devil May Cry HD Collection.
Featuring the first three games in the series (there are four in all, not including the upcoming DmC reboot) in one collection, you'll be able to play through high-definition remakes of 2001's Devil May Cry, 2003's Devil May Cry 2, and 2005's mouthful, Devil May Cry: Dante's Awakening Special Edition. The last selection in the group sports enhancements over the non-Special Edition version including the ability to play through Vergil — lead character Dante's twin brother, as well as two additional modes (Bloody Palace Mode and Turbo Mode).
Capcom recently announced that Devil May Cry HD Collection will release on April 3 for $39.99. Bargain-lovers, take note.
