Daytona, Burgertime HD revivals due back-to-back weeks
With major blockbusters hitting the Xbox 360 just about every week this fall and winter, it's easy to forget the franchises that paved the way in arcades. Thankfully, Xbox Live Arcade is around to remind us, as two vastly different games influenced by arcade classics are due out in consecutive weeks later this month, taking vastly different paths to the Marketplace.
While it was rumored for quite some time, Daytona USA sped to the starting block in quick order, as a teaser contest popped up one week ago (very strongly) hinting at the game's rerelease. The HD, online-enabled version of Daytona USA will be coming out on October 26 for $10 (800 Microsoft Points). You can check out the announcement trailer above.
The following week will bring another arcade classic, as Burgertime is due to come out November 2 at the same $10 price tag. Contrasting with Daytona's seemingly quick HD overhaul, the long-in-development Burgertime World Tour is an all-new take on the almost 30-year-old Burgertime formula, adding in multiplayer and a completely new visual style. You can check out Burgertime World Tour's visuals below.
Are either of these tributes to decades-old arcade classics on your gaming radar, or are the bigger games of the holiday season overshadowing these older games?

It's nice to see Sega waking up and giving us what we want. How about an Arcade perfect Virtua Fighter 2 with online support.
