Crytek developing next Homefront for 2014

Despite Homefront's decent showing amongst critics and customers, THQ was unable to afford keeping the game's developer (Kaos Studios) in business. With an in-demand sequel and no in-house team to put it together, the publisher has teamed with one of the most prolific FPS developers of recent years, tapping Crytek to put together the next game in the modern combat franchise.
While Crytek has offices throughout Europe and Asia, reports (like this one from GamesRadar) indicate that the Nottingham, England branch of the company will be leading the charge on Homefront's sequel. Formerly known as Free Radical, Crytek UK is best-known for developing the highly-regarded Timesplitters games. In the announcement of Crytek's involvement, the company's CEO Cevat Yerli said "It's really important to us that THQ has the faith in giving us a lot of creative freedom over one of its most important properties to allow us to bring the Homefront world to life in a new and innovative way."
The next Homefront game is slated to release between April 2013 and March 2014. What do you Homefront and Timesplitters fans think of this team-up?
