Come play Rock Band with OXM!
Fans of the magazine know that we jump on Xbox Live once a month to play a game against our loyal readers. We call it "OXM vs." and it's just a chance for us to get out there and goof off with you all. We usually lose, but that's okay with us. We just like playin'.
This week, we're ready to rock. We've been eager to play Rock Band with our readers since the day it landed in our offices, but we felt we should wait until holiday gifts were opened and more people had a chance to pick up the game. So get ready for some QuickPlay action with the OXM editors on January 17 at 4 p.m. Pacific/7 p.m. Eastern. Fran generally sings, and the rest of the editors fill in and swap around on whatever instruments are available. We'll probably split up and host multiple jam sessions so we can all hit different people, but you might see, like, Fran and Corey in one session and have two other guest guitarists. We'll have to wing it to find out who has which peripherals. Hey, we're just jamming.
Dan promises no shenanigans like before. We'll see.

If I can get online before you're through, I'd love to play, too. But how does this work? I guess I'm supposed to try to join your session in progress from the guide when you host the game, but I don't know your gamertags. Still, for that to work, don't we need to be on each other's friends list, or is there a way to just plug your tag in and go? If you want to know my gamertag, it's Dessan.
