Microsoft started the 10th anniversary celebration for Xbox Live by giving away exclusive custom consoles to select longtime subscribers. Now it's opening up the festivities to everyone else, and will be giving away games, discounting fan favorite titles, and even giving away some of those rare 10th anniversary Xbox 360s.
First, you can enter for a chance to win one of the new consoles just by downloading a special gamerpic between Nov. 15 and Nov. 22. Other winners will gain Microsoft Points, or free months of Hulu Plus and Xbox Music. Additionally, Microsoft is making Wreckateer available for free to all for the next 48 hours.
Popular Xbox Live Arcade titles will also be going on sale for half-off this week. For a limited time, you'll be able to get games like Castle Crashers, Battlefield 1943, Fruit Ninja Kinect, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, Bastion, Peggle, and Full House Poker for 50% of the regular price.
Major Nelson is also planning to give away 10 year-long subscriptions to Xbox Live Gold per hour via Twitter starting at 11AM EST/8AM PST. Unlike most of the other deals and contests, this offer is open to anyone in the world. All you have to do is reply to @MajorNelson with the #XboxLiveis10 included in your tweet.
There's no telling what, if anything, else Microsoft has planned for the anniversary, so it's best to take advantage of these offers while you can.
