Bungie founder Seropian leaves Disney Interactive

Bungie founder Alex Seropian is leaving Disney Interactive, after less than a year of acting as the division's head of games development. Seropian was Bungie's head of development on seminal titles Marathon and Halo: Combat Evolved before moving on to found Wideload Games in 2003. Disney Interactive acquired Wideload Games in 2009 and published the developer's Disney's Guilty Party game for Wii in 2010.
Seropian's replacement as head of games development will former Blizzard vice president Bill Roper, who most recently worked on the MMOs Champions Online and Star Trek Online with developer Cryptic Games. Prior to his involvement with Cryptic, Roper was the head of start-up Flagship Games, which released the disastrously ill-received online game Hellgate London. At Blizzard, Roper worked on the seminal PC games Warcraft III and Diablo II.
