No one really knew when Gearbox Software's follow-up to its four-player shooter/RPG Borderlands 2 was hitting shelves, even after it was announced back in late 2011. Now it's got a date: September 18. And it's even got a spiffy pre-order bonus campaign if you happen to reserve your copy through GameStop or Amazon, according to 2K Games.

For those that do, you'll become a member of the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club — with that comes the ability to download the Gearbox Golden Gun Pack, a Golden Key, and the Vault Hunter's Relic. The Gun Pack gifts you with unique guns, while the other two? Lots of special loot for you.

But forget that stuff — the trailer's where it's at with its unveil of all four of the playable characters, the new villian in the form of Handsome Jack, and lots of silly humor as the Borderlands series is wont to do. And hey, Claptrap!
