BioWare teases new game, first trailer next month

Earlier today, BioWare (the developer behind 360-staple series Mass Effect and Dragon Age) revealed the first concept image of one of its upcoming untitled project via Game Informer magazine's website. No other information about the game is known at this point, but was teased as part of a press release for the upcoming Spike TV 2011 VGA awards that airs on December 10 (on Spike TV and MTV2). The release revealed that the game will be handled by a new studio under the BioWare umbrella — aside from its main HQ in Edmonton, Canada, the developer also has development arms located in Austin, TX, among other locations.
So, where does this single piece of concept art lead us? A futuristic-looking setting that incorporates vehicles and decidedly non-fantasy–style garb on the character sent careening through the air from a collision? If anything, it potentially squashes the fan-fueled speculation of a return to BioWare's original-Xbox, Eastern-themed world of Jade Empire. We're pretty sure that the developer's ardent fanbase will have plenty of guesses on forums across the internet, but what's your guess?
