Battlefield 3's "Aftermath" DLC finally has a date for both Premium subscribers and non-subscribers. Set to arrive on December 4 for 360 Premium subscribers, "Aftermath" takes place on four new maps in a post-earthquake Iran. All of Battlefield 3's existing modes will work on the new maps, but DICE is also introducing a new game mode into the equation.

In Scavenger mode, players will start with only a knife, a single grenade, and one sidearm. More powerful weapons will be scattered throughout the map, and players will have to act quickly to gain an advantage if they hope to win. One of those weapons will be the new crossbow, which is unfortunately not on display in the new trailer. Also absent from the latest video are the new modified vehicles that will be present.

For non-Premium members "Aftermath" will arrive on December 18, and cost $14.99. With the host of new additions and achievements, it shouldn't be too hard to find some value in the DLC, even with all the new titles releasing over the course of the next two months. New dog tags and assignments will also appear. The fifth and final piece of Battlefield 3 DLC, "End Game," is due out next March.
