Due out later this year, Cyanide’s Game of Thrones video game takes place in the slightly altered HBO universe, but actually boasts an in-canon story co-developed with George RR Martin. These new screens (shown in the gallery below) feature the newly created characters Mors, of the Night’s Watch, and Alester, a red preist, in locales that haven’t been seen in either the novels or the television series.

To kick off a new year full of potential for action-game fans, Rockstar Games has revealed 14 new screens for the March-due Max Payne 3. It's got more of what we expect (an increasingly disheveled Payne, big explosions, multiplayer mayhem) and some things we really don't want to see (the tattoos being sported in the fourth and fifth images are a bit of an eyesore).

Rockstar has just released four new screenshots of Max Payne 3 (the anticipated action-shooter set for a March 2012 release) to show off some of the firearms you'll be able to manhandle. There's a dozen days until The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (previewed in-depth here) lands on store shelves, but Bethesda made sure to give us a head start on the dozens of hours-long game by sending a review copy to us early. And what a copy it was, as the Collector's Edition landed in our office this morning.
