"Why don't I like Fallout 3? I just am not getting into it. I'm about 4 hours in and I'm supposed to be looking for a radio station. I am taking my time, doing some exploring and really trying to enjoy it. While I'm playing though, all I can think about is wanting to play something else."

Smash Court Tennis 3
WORDS BY: Nic Vargus

Smash Court Tennis 3 straddles the line between Virtua Tennis’s arcade style and the technical aspects of Top Spin, but ultimately it comes off only as a sluggish imitator of both. The game’s graphics and player models aren’t bad, but many of the animations are. Characters often disappear and then reappear in a different stance or just slide around in place.
Touchy controls result in your stopping short of completely hittable balls or slamming them out of the park with swings that’d make Barry Bonds jealous. At least the single-player Pro Tour offers numerous amusing RPG elements, including buyable skills and stat upgrades. That means you can fine-tune your creation and take it online to face the best — though chances are, you’ll get bored first.
