"Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?" full album

WHAT ROCKS: Skilled players and/or those who love a good challenge are going to have a field day with this classic Megadeth album. The opening track, "Wake Up Dead," is a mere mid-difficulty warm up act for what's to come. "The Conjuring" will test your alt-strumming and HO/PO skills -- hope you like cascades! "Devil's Island" comes out of the gate swinging with one of the most insane guitar solos in Rock Band history.  "Good Mourning/Black Friday" spends the first minute of the song lulling you into a false sense of security before unleashing hell. "Bad Omen" will test your bass pedal's structural integrity. "I Ain't Superstitious" is the least-insane track (i.e. it's doable!). But then, of course, "My Last Words" sends the album out with a bang. And the title track, of course, you know from the Rock Band 2 game disc.

WHAT SUCKS: Brutal challenge -- notably on drums and guitar -- is likely to frustrate you at least one or 12 times over the course of this album. This is not one to break out at parties where everyone is either a casual player or slightly inebriated.

FINAL VERDICT: While we can't recommend this album to everyone due to its sheer challenge, it is an excellent record in the metal pantheon and one that those who complain that Rock Band is too easy compared to Guitar Hero should eat up.

COMMENTS:

Never been a big Megadeth fan, so since I am NOT an amazing guiarist or drummer, at least not able to play these songs, I'll leave this one alone.

First the complaints about being too easy, now comments about being too difficult (without any Neversoft-like overcharting)? Harmonix can't win!

Other than that, I agree. Awesome album. One of my favorite Rock Band purchases.
