MTV2 Pack

WHAT ROCKS: There's a surprising amount of fun to be mined out of this trio. Them Terribles' "Bullets & Guns" is very fast, and makes for a frantic drum track that's not particularly difficult (nothing in this week's download set really is), but will definitely keep you on your toes. Vocalists will get a kick out of singing along with the golden voice of The Material's frontwoman in "Moving to Seattle," and The Myriads' "A Clean Shot" is a treat on drums and vocals.
WHAT SUCKS: Due to society's collective unfamiliarity with these bands, these won't be tracks you'll want to bust out when everyone's drunk at your house party. Oh, and the guitarist and bassist will be pretty bored during long stretches of doing nothing during "A Clean Shot."
FINAL VERDICT: Three good-but-not-great songs, but we're always going to be kind when the asking price is only a dollar a tune. They're fun enough to be worth a buck each!

"Girls Who Play Guitars" by Maximo Park

WHAT ROCKS: "Deceptively awesome." That's how guitarist Dan Amrich aptly described the axe play on this tune from a bunch of British dudes nobody in the States (currently) knows. The chord pattern is quite unique and will challenge you to keep your hand moving quickly and accurately. Drums are also very fast, but enjoyably so. And vocals, while not difficult, are catchy.
WHAT SUCKS: Why is this $2 when this week's other unknown tunes are the usual unknown-band price of $1?
FINAL VERDICT: Worth full price regardless. Good times on any instrument!

COMMENTS:

digital ph33r makes awsome machinima.

i have many more ideas for track packs. dragonforce, led zepplin, billy squire, evile, emerald sword, iron maden, jimi hendrix, rush, avenged sevenfold, guns 'n' roses, rage against the machine, my rofl nife goes sliec sliec sliec sliec sliec lololololololoolooolololololololooolololololololoolllolololollololol, (couldn't help quoting awsome machinima) foreigner, stevie ray vaughan, foghat, and the hives just to name a few.

yes metallica is classic rock their first album came out over two decades ago and their last good album was over a decade ago do yourself a favor look up skarp or hellshock

metallica blows we should get more bands like at the gates or maybe some municipal waste or even better if you wanna go mainstream put on some gwar im sick of classic rock roots or no roots its still boring

I'd like to see Metallica's black album. Minus Enter Sandman.

I completely agree. Master of Puppets would be the definitive Rock Band album to date. Although I love the song, Orion is an instrumental, which would leave the front man on the sidelines for seven minutes.

Doesn't matter to me though, I'm almost to the point where I can beat every hard song with five stars on lead guitar... ;)

we need more meatallica! master of puppets, fight fire with fire, (i love that good ol' fashoned thrash metal insanity strumming.)and battery would make a great pack. master of puppets would hands-down be the best rock band album to date. and if guitarists want a treat then monsters and robots and enter the chicken by none other than the kfc headed one himself, buckethead!, tha would be the equivelant of buying a loaded candy store. (mommy, i want a hammer-on insanity pop.)

on maximo park's guitar chords, are they fun like before i forget or like enter sandman/ im so sick?
