Arkham City’s new villain examined in OXM!

Rumors (and covers) are starting to circulate the internet, but if you want the skinny on Batman’s most rotund enemy, be sure to check out our cover story on Batman: Arkham City as we unveil the first details on the Penguin’s role within the game!
The July issue of Official Xbox Magazine features an 11-page blowout of what’s sure to be the biggest licensed game of 2011. Rocksteady Studios already wowed the critics with Arkham Asylum in 2009, and if our in-depth hands-on impressions of their latest effort are any indication, they’re up to the task this time around, too. In addition to checking out some of the Caped Crusader’s new moves (including dive-bombing and using the Grapnel Gun while gliding, as well as triple-team reversals), we were also able to meet the biggest addition to Arkham’s Rogues Gallery yet — the Penguin.
Of course, Rocksteady Studios has their own unique take on the Batman universe, so their version of the Penguin has his own distinct traits. In the issue, we examine how Arkham City’s version of Oswald Cobblepot has his own stake in Arkham City, how he sets up one of the biggest encounters for Batman ever seen in a videogame, and how he has a completely new disfigurement beyond the freaky fingers. There’s plenty more mystery regarding the new people, places, punches, and projectiles that we're revealing, so be on the lookout for the July issue of Official Xbox Magazine, due in subscriber’s mailboxes any day now and on store shelves next week!
