While we've known that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD will incorporate classic music tracks to accompany the first two games' stages, it took Activision a while to reveal the returning tunes. Earlier today, the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD Facebook page revealed the game's first returning tune -- Bad Religion's "You," which appeared in 2000's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. The track (embedded above) comes from the band's fourth album, No Control, which released in 1989.
As the man himself has confirmed, the soundtrack this summer's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD will consist of 50% new music and 50% classic songs. What other old-school Tony tunes are you hoping will return?
I personally am angling for "Superman" by Goldfinger. While I love the sountracks for the first two games, I'm actually pretty cool with the hybrid soundtrack idea. Even though the later Hawks faltered in quality, the soundtracks were pretty stellar. I think every new game in the series has to include at least one new breakthrough band, and this is the best way to do it for THPS HD.
I hope "Cyco Vision" by Suicidal Tendencies makes a return. I do wish it would be all classics songs though because the soundtracks for the first 2 games were the best even to this day.
