4J Studios working on texture packs for Minecraft

Since Minecraft's launch on XBLA, 4J Studios has been tirelessly updating the console port to include many of the PC version's key features. A major update (1.8.2) went through not too long ago, and now it appears 4J is moving onto one of the most requested additions to the Xbox 360 version: texture packs.
Responding to a fan over Twitter asking if texture packs were being worked on, 4J stated, "We have started work on texture pack support. No dates for any releases yet though." Texture packs have been a fairly important part of the PC iteration, and allow the player to give the world a look different from the pixelated default. PC players can even craft their own textures, though there's no indication if that ability will be coming to the 360.
Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition continues to find success and support, as it recently topped the Xbox Live activity chart for the first time, and continually cracks the top 5 most-played games on Xbox Live. With millions of people playing the game, 4J's continued support should be greatly appreciated. As the update moves closer to release, we should get a better idea of what the developer has in store for textures on the 360 version.
What textures would you like to see? Do you want the ability to make your own textures?
