360 gets exclusive DLC weapon for FFXIII-2
Console-exclusive DLC is nothing new. Console-exclusive DLC co-designed by the console maker? That’s something we’ve never heard of before. Square-Enix revealed today a DLC weapon for Final Fantasy XIII-2 that isn’t just exclusive to the Xbox 360, but that the developer and console maker worked on in unison. The Azrael bow, usable by Serah only, and is named for “an angel who represents spirits and death. It is believed to possess the power to change the owner's destiny.” The bow will be available at Chocolina merchants after Episode 2 in the game, and will upgrade players’ Chain Bonuses when equipped.
The bow looks kind of cool, and is slightly reminiscent of a Keyblade when compacted. Though it’s not exactly clear just how Microsoft influenced the look and style. The weapon still looks like just another weapon in the FFXIII-2 universe, and doesn’t appear to have any physical attributes that set it apart from other similar weaponry. Whether or not the Azrael bow is worth 80 MSP when it comes out remains to be seen. It won’t be available until a few days after the game launches in February, and by the time it comes out, many players might have already unlocked much more powerful weapons. If that happens, there's always bonus costumes!
